The long June holidays are here, but while it definitely is a time for our little ones to rest and recharge themselves for the new school term, it will surely be beneficial for them to attend some enrichment workshop – here are some that definitely won’t take the fun out of learning.
The Learning Lab
The Learning Lab has always been committed to helping your child enhance their academic knowledge with fun and engaging programs, and their June holiday workshops are no different. From the amazing world of science to the marvellous world of math, your child will undoubtedly be able to get a jumpstart on his/her academic education. Additionally, if you have a your child going through their PSLE this year, you can also sign them up for the intensive revision series that will put them on track for the exams.

Stencil Screen Print on Totebag Workshop
While it may not be the start of a new school year, there’s no reason to not let your child start the new school term with a new school bag! Sign them up for this Stencil Screen Print Workshop and watch them unleash their creativity as they create their own unique designs and screen print them on tote bags. Additionally, for those attending the 2 June 2017 class, you’ll also get to go on a special guided tour where you’ll learn more about artworks created by South Korean artist Kim Beom, and learn more about print and paper-making.

The Tinker Camp (Science Centre)
Back by popular demand, sign your kids up for the Science Centre’s Tinker Camp and instil into them the importance of science and engineering in our everyday settings. Your little tinkerers will be introduced to working with real tools (e.g. soldering iron, hot glue gun, hammer etc.), but not to worry parents, as they will be under the expert supervision of Science Centre’s Chef Tinkerers. Spaces are limited, so register early to secure your spot!

Journey With Drippie (Science Centre)
Join Drippie, a little water droplet who lived in the river, on an adventure as she uncovers her very important role in the water cycle. Through engaging stories, role play and exciting hands-on activities at the Waterworks play area, Drippie hopes to shed light on the importance of water to all living things on Earth, as well as to impart knowledge on its conservation. Suitable for ages 4 to 5 years old.

Playeum Holiday Camps
Suitable for children aged between 5 to 12 years old, let your little ones experience inventing, learning and creating with this unique four day visual arts holiday camp, Home For The Holidays. As they reflect on what home means to them, they will explore an exciting range of art mediums and through conceptualising and understanding, work with other children in the camp to develop different ideas and create their own home together.
