Urban Bites launches a new menu under the helm of new executive chef Haroutioun Ara Sayegh, putting a modern spin on their classic dishes. Their revamped menu includes dishes like Samke Harra ($29), a plump 200g seabass fillet that is lightly seasoned with thyme, basil, rosemary then coated with a tahini dressing, pan-seared to seal in the juices and finally baked to perfection, and heavenly desserts like Osmaliyeh ($12), a sweet treat featuring different textures in each layer.

Under their newly launched brunch menu, you’ll find delicious Lebanese-inspired breakfast dishes like Cheese Manouche ($16), freshly-baked flat bread lavishly stuffed with four varieties of Lebanese cheese – jeddal, feta, mozzarella and Akkawi – and a light sprinkling of onions and parsley. Not forgetting Eggs With Lamb Shashouka ($20), consisting of three poached eggs steeped in a fragrant house-made sauce and slow-cooked lamb shoulder which is first marinated for 24-hours in a bath of aromatic Lebanese spices before being roasted till fall-off-the-bone tender, making this dish simply irresistible!

There’s even a kids’ corner where you can enjoy sketching your favourite characters! With delectable appetisers like the Pan-Pan Calzone – a plump and tender folded pizza, to exquisitely decorated drinks like the Grizzly Milk Shake – an indulgent shake blended with Vanilla Ice Cream and Nutella, you’ll definitely be back for more!

Seoul Yummy has launched a large-scale menu update of 30 new dishes, fresh interiors and a funky new logo. Fans who love all things Korean will undoubtedly fall in love again with the brand; from the fun pop art-style pictures depicting popular artistes to playful dish names inspired by K-drama shows and bands, and most importantly, modern flavours that remain true to the soul of Korean cuisine. Their unique Mini Budae Jjigae is noteworthy for its gorgeous presentation in a specially-imported gilded ramyon pot, and don’t forget to try fun variations of Korean dishes such as My Love from the Pork Ribs ($25.90) and Descendants of the Beef Ribs ($39.90). A definite highlight is The Return of Wagyu ($22.90) with premium U.S. wagyu slices.

The Minions have landed in Singapore! The concept pop-up cafe, inspired by Illumination and Universal’s Despicable Me 3, has attracted over 173,000 visitors across five different locations in Japan and will be in Singapore for a limited time from 23 November 2017 to 31 January 2018. Diners in Singapore will enjoy original themed food & beverages inspired by Illumination’s Minions at the cafe; all 14 items on the menu are based on Illumination and Universal’s Despicable Me 3 and are specially conceptualised and developed by “THE GUEST café&diner” for the Minions Cafe. With an exciting array of adorable Minion-themed dishes like the Minion’s Great Escape Cream Stew to S’more & Minion’s Ice Cream, you may find it hard to resist ordering everything on the menu!

Jamie’s Deli makes its debut in Singapore as an all-day addition to Jamie’s Italian VivoCity, with a “grab-and-go” concept that starts from the early morning. The intimate 16-seater deli caters to people on the move as well as those who require quick and light ready-to-eat meals to eat in. Sustainably sourced items are used to make scrumptious salads, gourmet sandwiches, artisan pizzas, flavourful pastas and a mouth-watering selection of delicious sweet treats. Grab your piping hot tea or coffee with a croissant on the way to work or tuck into their sandwiches, wraps and salads for a light meal.

Jamie’s Deli also has hot deli offerings, including hearty pastas ($7.50) like the lasagna or Rotolo selection, which changes on a daily basis. Artisan stone-baked pizzas are also available ($5.50 each) – choose from the classic Margherita Pizza topped with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, fresh basil, Parmesan and extra virgin olive oil or The Parma, adorned with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, San Daniele prosciutto, rocket and Parmesan.

In true Hello Kitty fashion, Christmas at Hello Kitty Orchid Garden is a truly adorable affair. Their brand new festive a la carte menu will be available till 31 December and comprises one appetiser, two main dishes, two desserts and two drinks. From A Starry Christmas ($17.90), an appetiser dish with chunks of Hello Kitty-shaped honey glazed chicken ham peeking out from a bed of crisp lettuce, feta cheese, olives and cherry tomatoes dressed with cranberry sauce, to Santa’s Favourite ($38.90), a meaty hunk of U.S. beef ribs marinated with sweet Hoisin sauce and fermented shrimp paste, then roasted to unctuous perfection, you’re bound to find yourself chuckling with joy!

Machida Shoten

Japan’s number one Iekei ramen has touched down in Singapore! Hailing from Kanagawa Prefecture, Machida Shoten blends its own dashi and soup mixed with a special tsukemen sauce. Diced char siew also imbues the broth with its natural goodness and flavours, accompanying each mouthful of al dente noodles. Their famous Tsukemen Ramen is priced $15, while another signature must-try Yokohama-style Iekei ramen made with a combination of soya sauce and pork bone broth, Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen, is priced at $14. To make your ramen experience extra indulgent, try their tender Seasoned Iberico Spareribs for $14.
