I heART Nature

Specially curated for children aged between 5 to 7 years old and their parents, the interactive I heART Nature Workshop wants to engage your child’s senses and boost their creativity through interesting arts and craft activities as well as through a short nature appreciation walk. While free, registration is required and will close either on 7 June 2017 or when the class is full.

Gardeners’ Day Out

Calling all kids with budding green thumbs! This June holidays, HortPark wants you to join them for a day full of gardening fun and lifestyle activities at their signature event, Gardeners’ Day Out! Programme highlights include the Gardening and Food Bazaar, a free garden tour of HortPark as well as talks and demonstrations spanning topics such as floral and garden design, handicrafts and a whole lot more.

Birds are part of our everyday landscape, but just how many can you identify when you walk down the streets? Through the “What’s In My Sky?” guided walk, your child will learn how to identify the many amazing birds of different species that pass through or make Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve their home. While free, registration is required and opens on 2 June 2017, closing on 6 June 2017 or when the class is full.

Ghost Nets Of The Ocean

Every Friday in June, gather your kids and bring them down to the Ghost Nets Of The Ocean exhibition at Asian Civilizations Museum and learn about the importance of marine conservation. Fishing nets may be harmless to the human race, but when discarded in the ocean, can cause serious damage to the marine animals living in the ocean. As such, artists from the Erub Arts Group have come together to use these lethal debris to create a meaningful art exhibition that hopes to translate the importance of protecting our oceans and the life within it.

Unlikely Dwellers Of The Urban – Yarnbombing

Yarn installations have taken over the Indian Heritage Centre (IHC), Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) and the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH)! Drawing inspiration from the mythology of each individual cultures, be captivated by the colourful displays that inject unexpected pops of fun and transforms each location into whimsical works of art.

In celebration of World Milk Day, come join Dutch Lady at the inaugural Drink.Move.Be Strong event that celebrates the benefits of dairy products in helping you and your family get healthy, moving and strong, as well as to spread awareness on the importance of having an active lifestyle. Some activities include solving puzzles in a bouncy castle, skipping and rock climbing stations, as well as a workshop that will teach your kids how to create their own flavoured milk smoothies using nutritious Dutch Lady milk.
