Singapore Science Festival: Science Buskers Festival

The Science Buskers Festival is a fun and colourful way for the young to learn and cultivate an interest in Science and develop new skills.  The Science Buskers Festival combines science with street entertainment, as 34 groups from primary age through to tertiary perform creative and spectacular “show-and-tell” experiments.

Organised as a competition with judging based on audience votes and judges’ scores, finalists include groups from a variety of schools including CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace, St Anthony’s Primary School, Beatty Secondary School, and ITE College.

The science buskers will perform from 11am to 6pm on 16 and 17 July 2016, with the winners announced between 5pm-6pm on17 July 2016 at the X-periment! stage at VivoCity.

The Science Buskers Festival is one of the main events of this year’s Singapore Science Festival.  Themed Build Your Smart Future, this year’s Festival celebrates Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as the building blocks to achieve Singapore’s aspirations to become the world’s first Smart Nation. Oh yes, entry is absolutely free too!
