Goodman Open House – Re:Imagined

Get set for an artistic adventure at Goodman Arts Centre! Singapore’s largest art enclave is opening its doors for a family-friendly festival that explores environmentally sustainable ways to create and present art. Festival-goers will have plenty to see and do at this one-day event – its line-up includes interactive exhibitions, artist-led hands-on workshops and the debut of the Goodman Green Green market, which brings fresh produce from local eco-friendly farmers.

Happy Rainbow by FriendsWithYou

If you’re living in the East and enjoy all things bright and colourful then Happy Rainbow, an immersive art installation by Los Angeles-based art collective, FriendsWithYou, is right up your alley. Inspired by the simple happiness found in everyday life, the rainbow-themed playground features an interactive bounce house and oversized plush sculptures that come together to create a multisensory experience. The roving exhibition will pop-up across three malls: Tampines Mall, SingPost Centre and Bedok Mall. And families can look forward to participating in craft workshops such as colouring and badge-making – slots can be redeemed by spending $30 in a single same-day receipt*. Break out your inner kid and have a splashingly colourful time!

Pinkfong & ‘Baby Shark’ Show

Put on your dancing shoes because the ‘Baby Shark’ frenzy is headed to our sunny island! Organised by Viu and SmartStudy, the global entertainment company behind Pinkfong and Baby Shark, the show will allow fans to get up close and personal with their favourite characters. The exciting event will include special stage performances, meet-and-greet sessions, a dance competition, and other interactive activities.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

The dinosaurs are back and roar-dy to take over! Held in conjunction with the upcoming release of epic action-adventure film, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, this event brings participants through a multi-sensorial experience of sight, sound and touch with fun activities like Immersive Virtual Reality and Sandpit Dino Fossil Excavation. Plus, score a photo-op with the life-size sculpture of Blue, the heroic Velociraptor that saved Chris Pratt and co. in the previous instalment.

Children’s Festival @ Gardens by the Bay

The Magic Faraway Tree from Enid Blyton is coming to Singapore this June holidays at Gardens by the Bay! As part of the annual Children’s Festival, this year’s edition brings The Magic Faraway Tree and its inhabitants, Moon Face, Saucepan Man and Silky, to life through larger-than-life displays and activities such as workshops, roving performances, storytelling sessions and magic shows.

And look out for recreations of four lands from the series: Land of Toys, Land of Enchantments, Land of Tea Parties and Land of Nursery Rhymes. Parents, it’ll be a great opportunity to share the love for reading and imaginative tales with your children.

Animate Your Life @ Gardens by the Bay

Enter the world of animation at the Animate Your Life festival, a 16-day celebration that will transform Gardens by the Bay’s Bayfront Plaza into a thriving world of cartoons! Catch a glimpse of characters from hit shows such as The Powerpuff Girls, We Bare Bears, Adventure Time and Ben 10 and navigate a fairground of fun inflatable obstacle courses, carnival games and creative workshops.

Doctor For A Day

Have you ever wondered how medically prepared your child is in the event of an emergency? Find out at Mount Elizabeth Hospitals’ Doctor For A Day programme! Themed “Doctor for a Day: Speed Saves Lives”, this programme provides an immersive learning experience for kids aged six to 12 years of age, by bringing them through interactive activities centred around emergency healthcare. Parents and children will learn, have fun and bond… all while saving a patient’s life!

Even better, Mount Elizabeth Hospitals is working with Children’s Wishing Well – Student Advisory Centre to include a charity focus by providing underprivileged children a platform to ignite their dreams of being a medical professional. The full proceedings of the event will also be donated to the underprivileged children via the foundation.

Ocean Fest! At S.E.A Aquarium

In celebration of World Oceans Day, S.E.A Aquarium launches Ocean Fest!, a month-long festival that aims to raise awareness for ocean conservation through a marketplace showcasing ocean-friendly products, immersive art installations, underwater performances, upcycling workshops, educational challenges and more.

Besides the aquarium’s first ocean eco-market that features more than 10 eco-friendly booths, and art installations such as the thought-provoking “Life In Plastic”, young guests can assume the roles of crime scene investigators at the Ocean Lab. The interactive zone will educate the children on marine life and the impact of plastic pollution, and empower them to adopt environment-friendly habits, such as rejecting the use of plastic straws.

Children’s Season Singapore 2018

National Heritage Board’s Children’s Season Singapore returns, bringing with it a smorgasbord of art, cultural and heritage experiences that will provide hours of fun for the entire family. From Joo Chiat to Jurong, from Kallang to Bukit Timah, enjoy a host of programmes, exhibitions and activities all across the island! 

Swing by the National Museum and experience different ways to play at The More We Get Together: Singapore’s Playgrounds 1930 to 2030 exhibition and programmes; be inspired by the life and adventures of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry at the Singapore Philatelic Museum’s The Little Prince: A Story exhibition; explore the mysteries of science and technology at the Science Centre Singapore; and make your own vintage toy robot at the MINT Museum of Toys Make and Play: Gigan-Tour workshop. There will be an adventure for every child, and an experience for every family.
