Exclusive: New Restaurant Concept @ Paulaner Bräuhaus
Coming back strongly after a two month complete overhaul is Paulaner Bräuhaus; Singapore’s first and only authentic German microbrewery reopens with a three storey bar and restaurant complete with an updated food menu. An integral part of any German meal, ordering from their selection of traditional-style sausages is a must, and we’d definitely recommend the Würstl trio ($17.90, pictured) – chopped pork sausages, white bratwurst, and grilled chicken sausage. Another dish that promises to be a highlight is the Currywurst “hot paula” ($12.90) – a six inch smoked pork sausage served atop a bed of curry tomato-chili sauce, dusted with curry powder and paired with a side of fries.
Exclusive: New Menu @ Machida Shoten
The first outlet that was unveiled outside of Japan in July 2016, Machida Shoten has recently announced the launch of its brand new menu featuring exclusive items that can only be found at the Singapore outlet. One of the new dishes is the deliciously piquant Miso Tonkotsu Ramen ($14), fusing the goodness of miso and tonkotsu soup base and then topped off with sweet corn, cabbage and butter for an extra kick.
For a more indulgent meal overall, place an order for the Seasoned Iberico Spareribs ($14) – where the ribs are first boiled till they’re tender, and then seasoned with Machida Shoten’s original sweet soya sauce.
Exclusive: New Items @ Kam’s Roast
The Michelin-starred Kam’s Roast Goose Restaurant has announced the launch of three new marinated dishes: duck, tofu and eggs. Following the Kam family’s seven-decade-long recipe, the duck, tofu and egg are braised using homemade sauces with key ingredients such as dried spices and soya sauce, resulting in a light-on-the-palate texture whilst allowing diners to savour the natural flavours of the ingredients. This Father’s Day, there’s nothing quite like bonding with Dad and the rest of the family over good food at this small and cozy 36-seater stall.
