Do you see your child’s potential in acting, singing, or dancing? Check out the top school to hone that potential into great talent: Centre Stage School of the Arts.
Peter Hodgson and his wife, Alison Tompkins, trained as actors in the UK then found their calling in the educational and children’s theatre. They created Centre Stage in 1999 for children to realise and harness the creativity within them.
Now on its second decade, the brainchild of Peter and Alison has developed into a full-fledged performing arts centre offering creative programmes in drama, acting, musical theatre, singing arts and crafts from babies to adults.
That’s because Centre Stage offers courses for everyone—from keen-bean drama students who love to be on the stage to children who need to nurture their communication and confidence levels or to simply make some friends.
The dance school provides a platform to develop creativity, confidence, communication, and collaboration. It specialises in training children for the stage and screen as well as helping them develop life skills to prepare them for anything the future has to bring.
One of its strengths is in the quality of its faculty—its teachers come from Britain’s top drama schools. They bring with them not only their training but also their vast experiences and deep understanding of the creative arts.
Centre Stage is one of the few schools where students can experience performing in front of live audiences in any of its 16 fully-staged theatre productions every year. Students will also learn in an environment of a warm, inclusive community.
Centre Stage admits students at any time of the year. Tuition is at S$600 per term (12 weeks).
